Reading Thursday
What I finished reading this week
Dragon by Steven Brust so now I have read every book twice except Brokedown Palace and Vallista. The standout detail for me was this exchange:
"They wanted me to stay out of their business."
"Will you?" she said.
"Stay out of his business? Not anymore," I told her.
She laughed a little. Her eyes were light brown. "You sound like a Dragon."
I don't think we see her with brown eyes again. I looked Aliera's eyes up once because I was curious if they corresponded to the colors of the Orb (no).
I was also amused by Vlad asking how Morrolan knew about Mario, and Vlad wondering how Sethra knew him so well. And I had completely forgotten that Noish-pa was in this book.
I want a Dragaera icon but I don't find any of the book covers iconable, there's not much fanart, and I haven't decided on ~the perfect quote~ yet.
ETA: I hadn't realized that Cawti knew about the man with the black box.
What I'm reading now
The Falconer by Elizabeth May, a YA steampunk about a girl who kills fairies after one murders her mother. It's pretty cliche.
What I'm reading next
My library acquired a bunch of Mary Balogh ebooks!
