I don't think
40fandoms is going to happen for me this year. Almost all my books are in storage and I hate it. So I should concentrate my efforts on finding something to write for New Year's Resolution, and then perhaps getting back to the Dragaera femslash.
To do the Wednesday reading meme on Thursday: I'm rereading Lauren Willig's Pink Carnation series, Regency romances with spy hijinks, before the final book comes out in August. This week I read #4, The Seduction of the Crimson Rose. I love this book. Mary knows she's beautiful and knows she's clever, though she hides the latter since she believes men don't like it. After losing her intended to her sister, she finds herself 25 and still in need of a husband and the money for another season, so she agrees to play bait for a French spy. Ugh, talking about books is so hard for me. Her dialogue with Lord Vaughn is fantastic and hot. And I get a kick out of her referring to Jane the spymistress as "Lady Richard's country cousin."
And Turnip making a cameo during the play!
